We are pleased to invite you to apply for the annual Grant Fellows Workshop series for early career faculty across Cornell that will be offered in Fall 2021. This workshop is designed to help grant-interested faculty develop a quality, review-ready proposal, with valuable information and insights from faculty panels and support from grant-successful facilitators. Topics covered will include trends and opportunities in grant making, integrated evaluation plans, persuasive and compelling narrative writing, effective supplementary materials, and addressing unique challenges that historically underrepresented groups may face in accessing research funding. Our Fall 2021 workshop will be offered as a hybrid course, which will meet in person on campus and include a Zoom option for participants and speakers who prefer to join virtually.
In addition to the six-week workshop, each participant will be assigned a grant-successful faculty reader in their field to give them detailed feedback on their proposal over the course of the 2021-22 year, and will receive travel support and airfare to Washington, DC to meet with relevant federal agency program officers in May, 2022.
SIX FRIDAYS! FROM 10:00 AM TO 12:00 PM • SEPTEMBER 17 – OCTOBER 29
The Grant Fellows Workshop will be offering one 6-session course for early-career faculty on the following dates from 10:00-12:00pm:

- Friday, October 1st
- Friday, October 8th
- Friday, October 22nd

This workshop is aimed at early-career faculty, specifically assistant professors and assistant research professors, and particularly individuals who identify as part of an underrepresented group (including but not limited to persons of color, first-generation college (FGC) graduates, women in STEM, veterans, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQQ+). Spots are limited so applicants must be able to commit to fully attend all six sessions.
If you are interested, please submit an application by Thursday July 1, 2021. We will notify applicants of their acceptance by early August, 2021. Due to a high demand, acceptance is not guaranteed for all applicants.
